Nonprofit Organization For Veterans

Boots on the ground
Led by Veterans, for Veterans, Boots on the Ground NY is more than just an organization—it’s a lifeline. Founded by military veteran John Julian, we know firsthand that the need for support doesn’t stop when the uniform comes off. While some veterans manage a smooth transition, many face long-term challenges—homelessness, unemployment, PTSD, or difficulty navigating VA systems. That’s why our mission is rooted in real, ongoing assistance that meets veterans where they are—whether they're just beginning their transition or struggling years after discharge. We provide emergency food, safe shelter, clothing, and transportation, as well as help with VA claims, mental health referrals, and community reintegration. Our outreach extends especially to homeless veterans and those at risk, ensuring they’re not forgotten or left behind. At Boots on the Ground NY, we stand with our fellow brothers and sisters long after the battle is over—committed to walking alongside them until they're truly back on their feet, ensuring they’re not forgotten or left behind.

Our Mission For Veterans
Our mission is to stand shoulder to shoulder with our veterans and their families, ensuring they receive the support, respect, and resources they deserve after their military service. We aim to empower veterans to rebuild their lives through financial relief, mental health support, educational opportunities, and a strong sense of community. At Boots On The Ground NY, we believe that helping our heroes starts with putting our boots on the ground—right where they're needed most.
Our Nonprofit Services For Veterans
We provide comprehensive support through four main service areas:
